Japanese artist eve has released an anime music video for the song “Iolite,” which recently debuted as the opening song of Pokémon Horizons: The Series‘ “Rising Again” arc.
The video, a solo-animated effort from Havtza (director of Keina Suda’s “Mellow” MV and YOASOBI’s “New Me” MV, among other credits), follows a unique family of two. eve described the wonderful animation, which features tranquil and slightly dreamy colors and displays of morphing animation, as having an “ethereal and fantastical atmosphere.”
Havtza also handled the direction, storyboards, color script, backgrounds, and more for the “Iolite” video.
The song is currently available via download and streaming.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series premiered in April 2023 as the successor to the original, incredibly long-running Pokémon anime series. Moving the spotlight away from Ash/Satoshi, the new series follows the journey of Liko and Roy.
