LUCA, a 12-minute anime written and directed by Nina/Ai Nina (the illustrator and animator behind YOASOBI’s “Racing into the Night” music video), is now available to watch on YouTube with English closed caption subtitles.

The short film follows a student, Nene (Mirai Tachibana), who encounters the mysterious Luca (Haruka Tomatsu). Luca is introduced as a shapeshifting entity that cannot maintain a single form for long, and the nature of the character presents a mystery to decipher.

Nina is also responsible for the character designs, layouts, and key animation. The music comes from YOASOBI composer ayase. Some of the other production credits are Sonoko Yamada as the background visual developer Kenji Terakawa as animation producer, and CALF for animation production cooperation.
