After teasing a summer 2026 release date last November, upcoming Chinese animation False Memory now has an exact premiere date. The show is set to debut on Bilibili on August 2 at noon (local time), with the first three episodes dropping all at once.

An over 90-second-long trailer, featuring impressively animated action and destruction, as well as multiple characters, was also released.

The False Memory series, which is preceded by a concept trailer and an 18-minute short, is directed by Shuyu Li and BlackLine, who are also its creators, with Flint Sugar and Studio Tumble producing the animation. The synopsis (via Google’s translation) reads:

Guan Chao, in his quest to return to the past, searches for the energy source “Burning Stone” to activate the Time Gun, but unexpectedly falls into the Memory Management Bureau. To return to reality, Guan Chao, along with Fang Tang, Bai Chong, and other memory administrators, works to recover the “bugged” individuals from each layer of memory.
