A January 28, 2027 worldwide release date has been announced for RPG Fate/EXTRA Record, which missed its spring 2026 release window when Bandai Namco Entertainment left as publisher (ANIPLEX was announced as the new publisher on August 31, 2026).

The update on the game was made at PlayStation’s September State of Play.
Developed by TYPE-MOON studio BB and announced in 2020, Fate/EXTRA Record is a remake of the 2010 PSP dungeon RPG Fate/EXTRA, which inspired the Shaft-produced Fate/EXTRA: Last Encore anime. It will come with scenario tweaks, updated visuals and audio, and deck-building turn-based combat. A previous delay saw it missing a 2025 release date.
Last month, in addition to the announcement of ANIPLEX as its new publisher, it was revealed that there would be some changes to the game’s development and TYPE-MOON studio BB’s structure.
