At the end of a cycle year, the Anime Trending Awards are held to recognize the best of anime in different categories.

Main Voting Period: January 6, 2025 (US) / 7th (JP) - February 7th, 2025 (US) / February 8th (JP)

How are nominees selected for the Anime Trending Awards?
  • Nominees are selected from each season (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall)
  • Anime that won Anime of the Season and anime that did not trail by more than 5% of votes behind the Anime of the Season are nominated for Anime of the Year. For multiple-cour Fall cour anime that meet this criteria, however, will have their nomination reserved for next year’s cycle.
